All of us were, I’m sure, shocked at the sights from Japan following the earthquake and tsunami there last week – especially poignant were the helicopter news videos showing communities being washed away and traffic about to be engulfed. A portent reminder on the power of nature. And also the benefits of timely warnings and predictions.
