Panera Voted Top Innovative Company
Fast Company recently recognized Panera Bread as a Top 50 Innovative Company for its Panera 2.0 launch. Throughout the global pandemic, Panera led the quick-service food industry by redefining how customers dine, how food is prepared, and how meals are delivered.
Panera 2.0 was a turning-point program launched in 2014 with a long-term focus on operational excellence. The program introduced mobile ordering and fast-lane ordering kiosks, rapid pickup stations, the MyPanera Loyalty program, and nationwide delivery services. As Panera 2.0 expanded during the pandemic, its data dependencies grew: e-commerce menu data, point-of-sale data, pricing, cafe attributes, discounts, taxes, and vendor data—which required one centralized and unified source of truth, provided by TIBCO® Connected Intelligence.
Panera Bread rapidly focused on helping those in need during 2020 with Panera Grocery, a safe and easy way for guests to order and receive groceries from Panera. Also, Panera’s #SeeAPlateFillAPlate challenge helped customers donate food to those less fortunate.

Aeroporti di Roma Awarded Best European Airport
For the fourth year in a row, Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) was recognized as the Best Airport in Europe by Airports Council International. The airline was awarded the Airport Service Quality Award for 2020 for airports with over 40 million passengers a year.
As a result of its transformation with TIBCO, ADR’s customer satisfaction increased dramatically, and business accelerated. During the global pandemic, the airport shifted to focus on making it one of the safest places while still keeping customer needs in mind for seamless, hassle-free travel. With TIBCO, the airport was able to analyze which areas of the airport should stay open and close for maximum safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. These analyses allowed Aeroporti di Roma to reduce its day-to-day operating costs by nearly 40 percent while continuing to provide a high-quality passenger experience.
The CEO of ADR, Marco Troncone, states the award “once again confirms the superior service levels offered to Leonardo da Vinci passengers and fits perfectly into our strategy focused on excellence in Quality and Safety, as well as Sustainability and Innovation. This recognition adds to all the others recently obtained and makes Fiumicino airport one of the most recognized airports in the world in the fight against COVID-19.”
