TIBCO Products Support Intelligent Processes

Reading Time: 2 minutes

TIBCO products deliver intelligent processes. A multi-product portfolio offers a wide range of product options; thus, it is important to know where each of these products can add intelligence to your business. To detail this more clearly, I have indicated on the cumulative process intelligence quotient (CPIQ) where TIBCO’s main process related products contribute. Keep in mind, there are other uses for many of the TIBCO products other than process support. It’s important to remember that multiple products may need to be used in combination to match your intelligent process needs—particularly if you wish to push the boundaries of any one-aspect process intelligence.

TIBCO Products That Directly Support Intelligent Processes

Active Matrix (AMX) is the primary BPM engine that orchestrates process resources, including services, and drives process activity to goals and conclusions.

Business Events is the primary capability that looks for patterns and outcomes of interest to the intelligent process.

Spotfire has a rich set of analytics and visualization capabilities; there is a reduced set of Spotfire in AMX BPM.

tibbr is the rich social interaction product that is leveraged for knowledge and worker interaction. In fact, there is a reduced set of tibbr in AMX BPM.

TIBCO has a complete set of infrastructure products that enhances processes and their reach. The following is a list of products that may be of help for your intelligent processes:

Collaborative Information Manager is used for master data management and assists processes that are operational data thirsty.

Silver is the cloud presence that can be leveraged for processes that would benefit from cloud implementations.

Nimbus is an architectural capability that allows for the tracking of business operations and the processes that support tasks. In addition, Nimbus can be used with business professionals to design processes in a business context and handed over to AMX BPM.

Rendezvous is an enterprise application integration tool that can help processes that want to cross system lines for deep system activities. Typically important technical sub-processes can be handled here.

Active Spaces Data Grid and Kabria can give processes data reach and depth, and leverage the speed of in-memory data storage. This is a real-time Big Data experience that can extend the intelligent processes reach for identifying patterns, analyzing courses of action, and kicking of key processes.

Net; Net

While TIBCO has all the pieces to deliver intelligent processes, even to extreme, there is enough intelligence in AMX BPM to handle some pretty smart processes.

Before American Express, Mr. Sinur worked for Northwestern Mutual Life, where he was involved in leading-edge projects like the Underwriting Workbench that employed many new and emerging methods and technologies. This was after he was involved with building and re-architecting many major applications on the investment and annuity side of NML's business.
