The second and final day of the TIBCO NEXT: Santa Clara, CA, conference has wrapped! Day 2 of #TIBCONEXT saw another packed agenda of discussions between TIBCO thought leaders and practitioners––where TIBCO customers, partners, and executives collaborated and shared their unique perspectives, strategies for success, and industry best practices. Helping Make Housing More Affordable
The first breakout session of the day began with a customer spotlight from Fannie Mae––a leading U.S. company that buys mortgages from lenders and repackages them as mortgage-backed securities to investors. Their mission is to facilitate sustainable and affordable home ownership and rentals for Americans. To achieve better cost optimization, they chose to exit their data centers and move their applications and data to the cloud with the help of TIBCO and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The Human Impact of Connected Systems
We then had the pleasure of hearing from another leader in their industry, The University of Chicago Medicine. At UChicago, TIBCO impacts a large part of the patient experience, right from the start. When a patient walks into a hospital and registers, TIBCO retrieves their medical records and orchestrates their visit. If they need lab work, TIBCO orchestrates the order and delivers the results to the doctor. If they need a prescription, TIBCO delivers it to the pharmacy.
A key takeaway from this session was that more importantly than anything else, TIBCO helps save lives. For example, a system built with TIBCO technology successfully reduced the number of cardiac arrests in the hospital by an estimated 15-20 percent.

Additional discussions surrounding industry-specific transformational journeys happened in a comprehensive “From New to Next” panel where TIBCO customers were able to share their stories and strategies of how they’re adapting to the change in their relative industries and the data integration choices they’ve made to be in the position they are at today.
Not only were we able to hear from our valued TIBCO customers today, but we were also joined by TIBCO VP of Sales, Pedro Diaz and Cloud Software Group CFO, Tom Berquist, who spoke on the continuing commitment that TIBCO has for its customers. Both executives reassured attendees that TIBCO, which is a business unit of Cloud Software Group, is still the customer-centric, innovation-first organization with a decades-long, proven track record of delivering mission-critical software capabilities.

See For Yourself, Firsthand, What’s NEXT
Nearing the end of Thursday’s discussions, there were several speakers leading sessions and demonstrations where attendees were able to see first-hand what’s coming next from TIBCO and watch brief demos of innovative product capabilities in development. Participants were able to view the demonstrations and then openly discuss solution features and product specifics in detail.
Approaching the close of day 2, the final #TIBCONEXT session acted as the perfect ending to an incredible conference––allowing participants to enjoy lunch with TIBCO executives in an exciting “ask anything” session on the future of technology, product roadmaps, and more!
