In September 2013, we commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ study of tibbr. Over the course of six months, the Project Director, Adrienne Breslin, thoroughly examined the potential ROI an enterprise could realize by deploying tibbr. This is Part 1 of a 5-part blog seriespresenting a summary of her findings.
Workforce productivity is every company’s goal.
There are lots of companies claiming to improve workforce productivity (including tibbr), but talk is cheap. Can we really deliver? That’s what TIBCO asked Forrester Consulting to find out by putting the tibbr platform to the test.
After a thorough financial analysis and numerous interviews with tibbr clients, Forrester put together a Total Economic Impact™ framework that identified tibbr’s ROI in terms of cost, benefit, flexibility, and risk factors.
When it was all said and done, Forrester’s analysis identified five major benefits to companies who deployed tibbr, but let’s start with the first one:
{ Benefit No. 1 }
tibbr increased workforce productivity savings by 3X.
Forrester reported that tibbr helped employees collaborate better with peers even across functional and geographical boundaries. Overall, tibbr helped employees do their jobs better with better access to people and information.
How did that help? It let people solve problems faster — users spent less time hunting for information because they could mine the collective knowledge of their coworkers. Without tibbr, employees were limited to what their immediate coworkers knew, so finding necessary information was more difficult, more time-consuming, and ultimately, bad for productivity.
Time-zones and distance stopped being factors.
- Easy access to colleagues helped solve problems faster
- Searching Profiles helped find the right people
- In-house experts responded to posted questions.
Most business today is global, so the fact that tibbr helped break down the silos of where people work is important. Employees who previously spent a lot of time hunting down the right person, or searching for relevant information within the company, could find them both a lot faster. Regardless of where employees were in the world, tibbr helped them get the right information at the right time.
Mobile was a key productivity driver.
A key factor in achieving tibbr’s 3X improvement in workforce productivity savings was the ability to access tibbr through mobile devices. The award-winning tibbr Mobile helped users find everything and everyone, anytime or anywhere.
