A new year has started and I think it is the perfect time to reflect on the happenings of the previous year. 2014 was a very big year for TIBCO’s BPM program. Here are a few of the highlights:
We started the year off being named a visionary in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management (iBPMS). Magic Quadrant visionaries are considered to be innovative and usually have strategies that focus on particularly demanding aspects of BPM. “TIBCO offers alternative ways to implement sophisticated forms of event-driven BPM, leveraging combinations of business rules, CEP, and AMX BPM process orchestration.” You can download the full report here to see what else Gartner has to say about ActiveMatrix BPM and Nimbus.
Next we were named a leader and disruptive innovator in IDC’s Business Process Platform MarketScape. “TIBCO offers an innovative and sophisticated portfolio of software capable of supporting a wide variety of process automation projects. TIBCO offers a strong set of traditional BPM features. It also provides forward-thinking capabilities around work management, work analytics, events, and the ability to dynamically generate tasks and a contextualized user interface delivered to a mobile app or PC browser.” To find out why TIBCO is a leader and disruptive innovator, you can download a copy of the IDC Marketscape here, as well as a detailed profile of TIBCO’s business process platform, ActiveMatrix BPM.
Directly on the heels of the MarketScape, ActiveMatrix BPM 3.0 was launched. This major release introduced our global and case data repository for case management support and elastic organizations to support branched organizations, such as retail and retail banks. The introduction of case management capabilities allows ActiveMatrix BPM to support every style of business process in a single solution.
We finished 2014 off with a bang and launched Nimbus 9.5 as well as ActiveMatrix BPM 3.1 at the Gartner BPM Summit. Nimbus 9.5 enhanced its storyboard functionality, introduced a web-based designer, and provides advanced exporting of Nimbus diagrams to Business Studio for automation in ActiveMatrix BPM. ActiveMatrix BPM 3.1 enhanced its case management functionality, expanded BPM Analytics, and added new ease of use features.
Upon reflection, 2014 was an outstanding year for TIBCO’s BPM program! It sets the bar high for 2015 to top it, but I am confident that we will. Stay tuned for the exciting things we will be doing this year.
