With over 500 photo entries for our #tibbrsocial contest, “Show us what work means to you,” deciding on the best photo was not an easy task. However, after our marketing team and branding manager narrowed it down to 50 of our favorite photos, then 10, then 5, we finally agreed on our favorite one. The following entry from a New York city bridge painter Carlo Caruso, @carlotoyz, really showed us what work means to him, plus threw in something that we like: a little social flavor.
After winning an Amazon Kindle touch Carlo commented: “You turned my whole world back on its feet… I was just relocated to Delaware with my company. I’ll be here for about two years. Last night was my first night here so I’m a little home sick . I open instagram to cheer myself up and find I’ve won your contest. Needless to say I’m ecstatic. I go to bed with a smile on my face, feeling better and able to concentrate on the reason I’m here: work. So thank you again for the kindle, and THANK YOU TIBBR for turning my brain back on.”
Work is, well work, but it can be rewarding and meaningful. Carlo’s spirit and enthusiasm about his work resonated in his photo.
