Next week’s TUCON TIBCO User Group (with something North of 1500 attendees registered) will see attendees offered the use of a tibbr client for use in the event. Meanwhile I spotted in an ACM email a somewhat bigger opportunity for the “conference event of tomorrow” – the event-enabled T-shirt! This is of course targeting the medical field (i.e. collecting biometrics) but I would not be surprised to see these subverted to be some handout at a future technical conference, for example to enable automated tracking of attendees, or maybe even directing you to your conference room… Of course registering some location-aware smartphone app would do the same, but that wouldn’t be as much fun!
Your event-enabled apparel is ready, sir
