Mobile BI was all the rage on Twitter this month. With Andreas Bitterer (a former #FF on this blog) discussing the consumerization of Business Intelligence to a new study from Howard Dresner (another former #FF), it’s clear that mobile BI is hot and happening.
The hottest article on mobile BI this month comes from Wayne Eckerson, president of BI Leader Consulting and director of research at TechTarget. Wayne makes our list this month for his highly Tweeted worldview on the “Who and What of Mobile BI.” His April 26 post on his Wayne’s World blog gives an in-depth look at the actual titles and functions needing access to mobile BI data.
April Twitter Awards
Each month we present a select few Twitter users with awards for their creativity or for showing the Spotfire love. This month we have a few to dish out.
- Top ReTweeter – Warren Hart, vice president at FastNote, LLC and a technology industry veteran, makes our list because he retweets pertinent and valuable Spotfire news and insight. He’s into emerging technologies and so are we. Great follow.
- Best Twitter Handle & Soft Spot – NJGeek wins two Trends and Outliers awards this month – best Twitter handle (who would mess with a geek from Jersey?) and the Soft Spot award for teaching his 6-year-old son how to use Spotfire and Tweeting about it.
- Funniest Twitter Analytics-Related Content – Annie Pettit wins this award for her hilarious blog on data and statistics. Featured in the April 25th issue of The Excel, BI & + Daily by John O. Knoke, a BI consultant based in Guatemala, Pettit shared a video on why 3D charts stink.
