TidalScale and TIBCO Shatter Barriers to R Performance with Software-Defined Servers

TidalScale, the leader in Software-Defined Servers, announced today that it is collaborating with TIBCO to remove the traditional barriers to R performance. For the first time, organizations working in R to analyze large data sets need not pare back the breadth of their analyses to fit the memory constraints of their existing systems.

By combining TidalScale’s Software-Defined Server technology with TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R (TERR), organizations can quickly and easily combine multiple standard servers (aggregating their associated memory and cores) into a single virtual server running under a single instance of TERR. TERR is a predictive analytics tool that provides the R language in a highly scalable environment optimized for large in-memory data sets, and is tightly integrated with TIBCO analytics products, including TIBCO Spotfire and TIBCO StreamBase.
