Tackling BPM Like Donkey Kong

With regard to the IDC MarketScape Worldwide Business Process Platforms Vendor Assessment, here are the results:

The evaluation was based on a demonstration of an extensive business use case and data provided by IDC, customer and partner feedback, as well as strategies and capabilities criteria.

Following a comprehensive evaluation of 22 vendors, only 10 qualified to participate in the MarketScape for Business Process Platforms. The other 12 will appear in either the BPMS or Case Management companion reports.

Each platform was evaluated on 13 categories of criteria:

  • Discovery and design
  • Process modeling
  • Mobile
  • User interface and standard runtime workspace
  • Work management
  • Task management
  • Social/collaboration environment
  • Case management
  • Search
  • Data access and integration
  • Decision automation
  • Visibility and reporting
  • Life-cycle management

According to IDC’s essential guidance, “Because of TIBCO’s comprehensive BPM portfolio coupled with its innovative approach to BPM, ActiveMatrix BPM should be considered by enterprises as a BP platform candidate for initiatives that range from departmental process improvement to transformation-focused process change. In particular, enterprises that are modernizing their architecture with the aim of being more responsive and event driven should evaluate ActiveMatrix BPM.”

You can find out more about how TIBCO did by downloading the TIBCO Profile for IDC MarketScape: Business Process Platforms 2014.

It’s on like Donkey Kong! As I wrote in an earlier post, “Bring it on! TIBCO is ready… to take on and solve your most sophisticated and painful business problems.”
