Reading Time: 2 minutes

TIBCO BPM Engineering has been very busy the last six months, and it’s finally time to share all the goodies. Today, we announced TIBCO ActiveMatrix BPM 3.0, the next major version of our leading business process platform. ActiveMatrix BPM 3.0 is an outstanding release chock full of new features and capabilities, with the most important being:

  • Global and Case Data for Case Management
  • Support for Elastic Organizations  (like retail bank branches)
  • Enterprise-Level (very large) Organization Support
  • Additional Dynamic Work Delivery Methods
  • Singular Inbox (for users who participate in more than one process)
  • Refreshed UI
  • Siteminder Single Sign On Support
  • Purging Strategies (for completed processes)

With these new additions, ActiveMatrix BPM becomes the single business process platform able to handle an enterprise’s needs—all of them. It was designed to be business friendly with enterprise strength, able to manage departmental processes as easily as enterprise mission-critical processes, and span human workflows to case management. ActiveMatrix BPM 3.0 will be available fresh out of the oven on May 15th.

Recently, TIBCO was ranked a “Leader” and “Disruptive Innovator” in IDC’s Marketscape: Worldwide Business Process Platforms Vendor Assessment for 2014. A “Disruptive Innovator” has a product that pushes the envelope of process automation in ways that change the types of problems solved.

What types of new problems are being solved with BPM? What business goals and objectives are behind these BPM projects? Is this transforming the business, or just improving what is already in place?

More and more, the end goal is a transformation, and we are not talking about little transformations. We are talking about using processes to fundamentally change an organization’s business value, tap into additional markets, and even tackle new economies. This isn’t achieved by just automating what you have always been doing; it is achieved by embracing disruption across trends and technologies that are the catalysts—such as Fast Data, the Internet of Things, mobility, and event-driven architectures. We are on the edge of a new era of business processes—we are hearing this from clients, prospects, and all the leading analysts.
