Next week will be my ninth time attending TIBCO’s annual user conference, TUCON. Regardless of how many times I’ve participated, it never stops being a highly anticipated part of my year, and a very special time to meet with our customers and partners. You’d think that over the years TUCON would become a bit of a blur, but the reality is quite the opposite. I’m always excited about the great things we have to talk about and I absolutely love hearing the customer success stories. It never, ever gets old.
Big Data is Changing the Business Landscape
This year’s conference is even more special because of the timing—it’s a unique time in the technology industry. Technology is always fascinating in how it changes our world, and we’re in a period of massive disruptive, unprecedented change. Everything from cloud to mobile and social to Big Data is changing the IT and business landscapes. In the coming years, organizations will undergo fundamental changes in how they do business and that will require a fundamental shift in how technology supports their needs.

Answering the call of this unique time in history, we’ve focused on the immersive qualities of TUCON, such as the educational streams, the breakout sessions, “Ask the Experts,” and the always-buzzing Solutions Showcase and its myriad of product and solution demonstrations. There’s so much to learn and understand at TUCON and we knew we had to take the user conference to another level to answer that call.
This year is a great time to be at TUCON and a great time to be with TIBCO. We’ll have great announcements and inspirational presenters who will talk about creating extreme value for their organizations. They’ll show why today’s times call for a new way of thinking about the technology that drives their organizations and yours.
