Is your integration provider in the magic quadrant? How do you rate integration providers?
Well, there’s more to integration than connecting the dots. Whether it’s supporting the cloud, or extending the data from one system to another, there are a variety of reasons that distinguish one provider’s offering as an industry leader.
The magic quadrant helps businesses make sense of all industry offerings. Gartner’s recent audit looked at seven characteristics of execution, spanning overall viability to customer experience; and eight criteria of vision—covering market understanding to geographic strategy—to plot what they refer to as challengers, leaders, niche players, and visionaries on a two-by-two matrix of integration providers.
This matrix gives a powerful visual for the integration landscape with the high-achieving companies occupying the upper right-hand square, naturally referred to as the magic quadrant. Seventeen technology integration companies were evaluated (specialists and megavendors alike), six of which were recognized as leaders—those whose offerings and infrastructure are undeniably proven and rich.
But, when it comes to the real magic, you’re the judge. The solution for your business may lie in any one of the four quadrants. It’s about finding a partner whose vision and execution intersects with the needs of your organization. Without context, there’s often little magic in real life.
