Melbourne Airport Launches Digital Transformation to Become a Smart City

For more than 40 years, Melbourne Airport has connected Melbourne to Australia and the rest of the world. Melbourne Airport is Australia's second busiest passenger airport and its leading air freight exporter.

Passenger traffic at Australia's Melbourne Airport is sky-rocketing, its 35 million passengers are expected to double by 2033. To meet the demands of its fast-growing traveler population, in the Fall of 2015, the airport launched a multi-phase project aimed at achieving situational awareness based on key systems supporting the customer experience.
