Let’s take a tour of the data science community at Bayer Crop Science, starting with an introduction to who we are, what we stand for, and what our Women in Data Science organization is all about. In the second part, we will visit a data science use case that uses Bayesian spatial hierarchical modeling to help our research and development pipeline better make advancement decisions for seed treatment products. Specifically, we will introduce examples of our experimental trials, data challenges, insights from visualization, and innovation in modeling techniques that helped us gain important insights about working with large scale experimental data.
