Birchcliff Energy: Leveraging the TIBCO Platform to Develop Value-driving Energy Apps
This talk explains how Birchcliff Energy uses TIBCO products to build fit-for-purpose applications that are suitable for our evolving technical needs. Two case studies will show how we use Python and TIBCO Spotfire®, TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R, and TIBCO® Data Virtualization software to build energy applications:
(1) A Spotfire® application that enables a user to featurize fracture-driven interaction (FDI) events with high precision. The app uses closed loop data flow by leveraging TERR algorithms to produce custom features and write them back to a SQL database.
(2) Expanding the capabilities of a commercial physics simulator with Spotfire analytics and Python, this app allows our experts to further visualize and dissect the data beyond what is offered within the third-party tool.
