The travel industry is still undergoing heavy transformation. First, airlines and airports adapted to unscheduled country-wide lockdowns, canceled and rescheduled flights, and aided passengers trying to return home. Then they became banks, reimbursing passengers and travel agencies. And in the last few months, they have continued to innovate, using new procedures and technologies to make the journey as smooth as possible.
The number one priority is complying with each country’s health and safety measures. Number two is preparing for when the world travels again and passengers return to telling stories about the places they have seen and explored.
Travel is not going away—but technology is needed now more than ever.
