Data Science in Formula One and Beyond

Data Science is having an increasing impact in sports. TIBCO actively supports teams such as Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One, TIBCO-Silicon Valley Women’s Cycling, and the NFL. 

In this webinar, we will discuss the impact analytics and data science is having for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team and demonstrate using our Formula One simulator and digital twins how TIBCO technologies are used to analyze lap performance, predict lap times, and the likelihood of a crash.

Biography: 

With 20 years of experience in data science and informatics, Colin has worked in industries such as pharmaceuticals, environmental regulation, and IT. Throughout, he has led data analysis and modeling projects and development of methods to make better use of data and better communicate about data throughout all areas of business. Having spent the last eight years as a TIBCO customer, Colin has now joined the TIBCO Data Science team and is greatly enjoying the opportunity to aid many industries in their data science journey.
