How to Be a Champion in Your Business: 3 Wins Inspired by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team

If you saw the opening race in Bahrain and the second race in Italy, you watched Lewis Hamilton's skillful driving take on numerous challenges. If you didn’t catch the races, here’s a quick re-cap:

At Bahrain's season opener, limited car testing meant Hamilton lacked the typical time and experience driving the new flooring adjustments. Starting from L1, Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen had a wheel-to-wheel battle for nearly the entire race, keeping within fractions of a second of each other. Hamilton struggled to take the lead for 54 laps but ended up in first place with a 0.7 second lead after Verstappen ran wide on the exit of L53.

At the Imola race in Italy, Hamilton starts the race in first place but slides off the track on L31 after hitting wet pavement. This damaged his front wing and caused him to fall back to eighth place by L34. After a crash between Russell and Bottas, the race was reset, and Hamilton was able to claw his way back to the podium, finishing in second place after securing the fastest lap on L60.

Expert driving, combined with TIBCO's real-time data capabilities, helped Hamilton take the podium for the first two races of the 2021 season—despite racing setbacks.
