Ali Ahmed Named General Manager of TIBCO; Spotfire to Become Separate Business for Cloud Software Group

Today, TIBCO, a business unit of Cloud Software Group, announced that Ali Ahmed, who has been with the company for more than 21 years, is now general manager of TIBCO.

Previously, Ali has held a number of leadership roles across engineering, including head of Global Engineering Services, and he brings deep expertise in delivering high-quality products and managing large engineering teams worldwide. Ali’s vision as the new head of TIBCO is about keeping the enterprise data solutions business hyper-focused on customer-centric innovation.

With that move for more focus, Spotfire has become a standalone business unit for TIBCO parent company, Cloud Software Group. Olle Landstrom has been named General Manager of Spotfire.

As part of these changes for the business, Matt Quinn, former general manager for TIBCO, and Randy Menon, head of engineering for TIBCO, have stepped down from their roles.
