TIBCO Trailblazer Awards Acknowledge Customers Making an Impact on the Telecommunications, Automobile Manufacturing, Logistics, and Beverage Industries
TIBCO Software Inc., a global leader in integration, API management, and analytics, today announced the recipients of the 2019 TIBCO Trailblazer Awards in Europe. These awards, presented in London at the third and final stop of the TIBCO NOW™ 2019 Global Tour, recognize customers who embrace digital transformation through TIBCO technology to generate positive business results, all while innovating and disrupting their industries to stay ahead of the competition.
"It's an honor to congratulate our EMEA Trailblazer Award winners. Their commitment to leveraging technology in revolutionary ways for the benefit of their customers is exceptional," said Dan Streetman, chief executive officer, TIBCO. "Through their adoption of the TIBCO Connected Intelligence platform, each of these companies has demonstrated the data-driven mindset required to deliver a transformative customer experience and, ultimately, business growth. It's this mindset that’s essential for all organizations, wherever they may be on their digital transformation journey."
This year's winner of the Visionary Award is Three UK, a leading UK mobile network and broadband operator. In 2016, they made a bold decision to be one of the first operators to go all-in on a cloud-first strategy with Microsoft Azure. The Three UK team chose TIBCO BusinessWorks™, TIBCO® Messaging, and TIBCO Cloud™ Mashery® to interconnect all applications in its approach. This year, Three UK expanded its TIBCO Cloud™ Integration investment, extending messaging to provide Apache Kafka support. Starting in 2020, Three UK will be implementing TIBCO® Streaming for 3GPP, a standard-based solution that enables the company to deliver and bill policy-based services across 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. With TIBCO's integration and real-time streaming products, Three UK will reduce time-to-market for new products from months to hours and aim to reduce IT costs by 31 percent. Additionally, the company will be able to replace 350 on-premises applications with 100 cloud-based services, all supported by TIBCO.
The recipient of this year's Impact Award is Renault. Established in 1899, Groupe Renault is a French multinational automobile manufacturer now operating in 127 countries with over 30 vehicle models. Recognizing that legacy business intelligence tools weren't capable of responding to its increasing business demand, Renault needed an enterprise-wide, agile solution. By implementing TIBCO, the company became much more self-sufficient at analyzing data and addressing new, data-related issues. In parallel, Renault implemented a data lake to support its own big data initiatives, in conjunction with the digitalization of the company. With over 25,000 current users for 120 projects, TIBCO Spotfire™ is the standard tool for data visualization, in addition to supporting Renault's data lake. Now, Renault has the infrastructure in place to support the required agility for developing new reports and industrializing new products.
This year's winner of the Transformer Award is the Campari Group. A major player in the global-branded spirits industry, Campari has a portfolio of over 50 premium and super-premium brands marketed and distributed in over 190 countries worldwide. Its journey with TIBCO started in late 2017, with the creation of digital products. By leveraging TIBCO Cloud Integration and TIBCO Cloud Mashery, it established a hybrid API-led cloud platform. This enabled Campari's digital journey and provided the following positive business outcomes: shifting budget to innovative IT projects, faster and more predictable time-to-market for new integrations, smarter cloud infrastructure leading to increased availability of real-time data, API adoption by partners and customers to securely access the company’s data, and establishment of a DevOps culture.
The winner of this year's Pioneer Award, Siemens Mobility, has been a leader in transport solutions for more than 160 years. Siemens Mobility's open ecosystem Railigent® platform helps customers make intelligent use of rail data and allows operators to improve the return from their assets. In order to develop new use cases, Siemens Mobility used TIBCO Spotfire as a tool for agile development of analytics use cases, integrating the solution with the Railigent application suite in the cloud. This resulted in exemplary "Internet of Trains" use cases, which were developed in close collaboration with customers and enabled significantly reduced maintenance costs by 10 to 15 percent, improved rail asset availability up to 100 percent, and optimized operations with a decrease in unplanned downtimes by 30 to 50 percent.
