TIBCO Trailblazer Awards Recognize Customer Innovation in EMEA

TIBCO Software Inc., a global leader in integration, API management, and analytics, has honoured customers who are harnessing the power of TIBCO technology to drive innovation with TIBCO® Trailblazer Awards. Presented at the TIBCO NOW® conference in Berlin, the established awards celebrate three organizations across EMEA that are leveraging TIBCO technology in revolutionary and enterprising ways, transforming IT into a strategic differentiator that fuels business growth and meets the increasing demands of the digital consumer.

Trailblazer Awards were awarded to the following companies for embracing the digital revolution with TIBCO technology: Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch railway operator; Vestas Wind Systems, a Danish manufacturer, seller, installer, and servicer of wind turbines; and French multinational hotel group, AccorHotels.

Impact Award

Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) was honoured with the TIBCO Trailblazer Impact Award, which celebrates dynamic companies leveraging a flexible, agile platform to revolutionize their IT strategy, facilitating operational excellence, increased competitiveness, and a superior customer experience.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen is the principal passenger railway in the Netherlands, providing rail services on the Dutch main rail network and international rail services to other European destinations. Its ambition is to deliver more reliable and better services to customers and other stakeholders, and to enable all trains to have intelligent technology. Leveraging the TIBCO Insight Platform and integration technologies, NS has developed the virtual train, enabling passengers to download a travel planner app to see where all trains are. It has also standardized IT across 800 trains, making it easy to deliver new applications, leading to an impressive competitive advantage.

Innovator Award

Vestas was the successful recipient of the 2017 Innovator Award, aimed at celebrating collaborative companies focused on accelerating IT innovation across their business to provide remarkable product and service delivery to their customers. Vestas, a wind-power market leader for 40 years, has 59,900 turbines in 76 countries and six continents—all generating power and a lot of data. Vestas' main focus is market-driven product development, making sure that it's developing tools, products, and services that clients want.

Leveraging TIBCO Spotfire® with TIBCO® Enterprise Runtime for R (TERR) for advanced analytics, Vestas has democratized data across the company, built an analytics app store for employees, and formed user communities to assist organizational units in developing their own applications.

Pioneer Award

The Pioneer Award recognizes innovative organizations that have transformed IT into a competitive asset, driving lower total cost of ownership, improved workflows, and increased agility. This year's award went to AccorHotels Group.

AccorHotels Group is a digital pioneer and world leader in travel and lifestyle, offering unique experiences at more than 4,100 hotels and resorts and more than 2,500 exceptional private residences. To facilitate its €225 million digital transformation plan, the company chose the TIBCO integration platform. Today, all client applications exchange information through AccorHotels' integration platform, making nearly five million calls per day to the system. This capacity and performance, and the ability for the integration platform to scale to support growing traffic, already provides an improved customer experience, which will only improve over time.
