TIBCO Spotfire achieves top score for "Current Offering" category among top self-service BI platform vendors

TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that Forrester Research, Inc. has recognized the TIBCO Spotfire® Analytics Platform as a leader in self-service Business Intelligence (BI) platforms with the highest "Current Offering" score, according to The Forrester Wave™: Self-Service Business Intelligence (BI) Platforms, Q2 2012.1 Forrester cited TIBCO as a Leader and cited its leading data discovery and exploration capabilities.

According to Forrester, "TIBCO Spotfire shines with its highly visual self-service, in-memory engine." In an evaluation of 12 top vendors, TIBCO Spotfire achieved the top rating for "Current Offering," a measure of the vendors' self-service features and capabilities, a short build-to-specs test and customer surveys. The report states that "TIBCO Spotfire received the highest current offering score in the evaluation based on its self-service BI features. These features include a highly graphical, associative, in-memory engine that allows for intuitive data discovery and exploration as well as a free-for-a-year TIBCO Silver Spotfire cloud offering."
