LogLogic Continues To Innovate With New Patent
,
-
Loglogic®, the IT Data Management Company, said today that it had been granted another patent earlier this year by the United States Patent and Trademark office. The patent, number 7,925,678, is entitled "Customized reporting and mining of event data." The patent clearly reaffirms LogLogic's commitment to generating innovative solutions to its customers' problems.
The patent, which was originally filed in 2007, describes a system for storing data from a distributed system such as an IT Data Management system, and indexing the data and storing aggregate information so it can be retrieved and reported on efficiently. Because data from a distributed system, including most IT data, is unstructured, the patent describes how the data can be collected, stored and retrieved or reported on quickly and efficiently without the infrastructural overhead of a relational database system.
"We're proud of this new addition to our burgeoning intellectual property portfolio," said Guy Churchward, CEO of LogLogic. "This patent provides a glimpse into how we are dealing with Big Data for our clients every day. This is some of the technology that makes our reporting so flexible and easy to use."
