TIBCO and Huawei Sign Global Partnership Agreement to Address Operator Challenges in Telco Markets

TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that it has signed a global partnership agreement with Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. to integrate its infrastructure software with Huawei's Business Support System (BSS) solution.

The agreement aims to expand the two companies' current thriving customer ecosystems in telecommunications markets globally, and to help improve the reliability and quality of communications for local subscribers. The powerful combination of Huawei's and TIBCO's technologies will create a unified, customer-centric solution that addresses operators' challenges in network convergence and transformation.

The collaboration will bring together Huawei's global reach and TIBCO's long-history and in-depth understanding of rules-driven, process-based order fulfillment. The newly combined technology platform will offer communications service providers with:

  • real-time monitoring across all systems;
  • a single view of every subscriber;
  • multiple-channel customer interaction
  • service request charging and invoicing; and
  • seamless integration of front and back office functionsfor improved customer care and retention.

TIBCO's technology has been deployed in 18 of the top 25 telecom operators globally.

Huawei BSS provides multiple-channel customer interaction & management, order capture & fulfillment, service request charging & invoicing and operation analysis functionalities. The BSS Integration Framework is the solution's skeleton which has pre-integrated a series of sub-solutions, products and components including Convergent Billing Solution (CBS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), IP Contact Center (IPCC), Business Intelligence (BI), Partner Relationship Management (PRM), Provisioning, Mediation and Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA). It performs convergence of multiple network business support across all voice and data services. The state-of-the-art framework implements smart operation and efficient support.
