Sr. Manager Business Operations and Assets


The IT Asset Sr. Manager is a member of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization and positioned strategically to support the asset management within the organization. We are looking for a detail oriented, people manager with experience with IT hardware and software lifecycle management. This role will lead a strategic initiative to manage all IT related assets within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and partnering with the appropriate business leader. The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. The IT Asset Sr. Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their life cycles.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for ensuring quality control throughout the lifecycle of all company IT assets by development and implementing procedures to track and manage them

  • Responsible for the governance concerning IT Asset Management tools applied in managing, monitoring and reporting on IT assets and inventory

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements and warranties for the organization’s software and hardware

  • Create strong asset management program which is sustainable, scalable and operationally efficient

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT assets, specifically for inquiries, requests and escalations

  • Lead partnering effort with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, to ensure successful asset lifecycle management.

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals

  • Lead cross-functional team to quickly resolve issues that affect TIBCO’s business

  • Guide TIBCO teams to perform software evaluations, identify suitable products and/or existing solutions to reduce redundancy

  • Support contract execution/renewal process including tracking, identification, terms negotiation, legal/security/data privacy approvals, executive approvals and final sign off

  • Provide education and/or enablement sessions related to asset management best practices such as new offerings, product roadmaps, asset inventory, etc

  • Track, report, document and communicate asset program status to executive leadership

Who You Are

  • 5+ years experience in operations, project management and/or partner management; preferably in technology 

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and horizontally-manage cross-functional teams 

  • Experience interacting with and influencing executive management and cross-functional teams 

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills 

  • Ability to solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity and manage expectations

  • Highly developed organization skills with the ability to smoothly handle rapidly evolving, multi-dimensional negotiations under strict timelines 

  • Detailed oriented and highly organized

  • Strong understanding of asset related KPIs, analysis, operational tracking and reporting 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Operations Management or related experience 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Project and/or program management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities are a bonus

  • Strong problem solving ability 

  • Ability to align stakeholders around difficult decisions and/or prioritize effectively
