Senior Director, IT

Overview

TIBCO Global IT Team is seeking an energetic and experienced service delivery leader who will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery, education, and support for all TIBCO internally-facing technologies. The leader in this role should come from a service oriented background with experience growing and transforming traditional help desks into strategic service delivery teams on a global scale. A strong track record of leveraging technology to modernize and optimize business processes, a deep desire to mentor & foster the careers of technology professionals, an empathy driven approach to building relationships across geographies, and pride in personal accountability are the cornerstones of a candidate we seek.

The sr director will inherit a global team of strong technologists and an evolving footprint of technology solutions where a focus on standardizing IT business processes and driving consistency to enable scale will be an early focus. The candidate will lead the effort of standardizing our service catalog and communicating that to the global organization. Automation of Onboarding & Offboarding to reduce the time to value for team members, ensure protection of data, and exceed commitments to internal stakeholders drive the need for this sr leadership role.

This role wears many hats and the right candidate will be able to move fluidly between a variety of tasks including business stakeholder governance, requirements gathering, solution and process definition, corporate communications, managing project activities from end to end, and managing to outcomes & SLA targets.

The director will report to the VP, Global IT

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic & operational leadership ensuring stable operation and supportability or TIBCO’s Information Systems

  • Influence IT service design and recommend associated policies that safeguard data, protect end users, and support service delivery across the enterprise

  • Account for day-to-day IT support functions of End User Support Services & critical global applications

  • Ensure collaboration and teamwork across all IT service areas & business stakeholders

  • Service areas include: 

    • Core Productivity & Collaboration Solutions (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, …)

    • Office Technology (Data Networks - Wired & Wireless, Audio Visual Printing)

    • End User Computing Support (Laptops, Desktops, VDI, Remote Access)

    • User Education & Empowerment

    • Asset Management (Software Licensing, Laptops, Desktops)

    • Change Management & Communications 

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders, vendors and external partners as needed to optimize company-wide services

  • Participate in compliance audits & build processes to automation the collection of compliance evidence

  • Review contract language and monitor milestones, goals, SLAs, and project completion

  • Ensure the oversight of vendor personnel in a manner that operational tasks and strategic goals are realized

  • Advise the CIO, VP of IT, & senior leaders as a as member of the IT Leadership Team

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of experience as an IT Professional supporting internal teams

  • 6+ years in a leadership role with performance management experience across a globally distributed team

  • 3+ years leading line managers and technical leads in a multitier support organization

  • Deep experience in one or more of the following technologies/stacks:

    • Service Desk Management

    • End User Computing

    • Software & Hardware Asset Management

    • Project Management

    • Networking & Telecom

    • Security

  • Proven results leading and overseeing group in a business experiencing high growth and rapid change

  • Experience working within a scaled agile scrum/process, and/or demonstrated project management for large cross-functional efforts

  • Ability to guide internal customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying new technologies that drive increased business value

  • Extremely strong communication & presentation skills including the ability to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for a variety of audiences

  • Demonstrable ability to analyze, design, and present technical concepts to senior business leaders
