IT Program Manager, Infrastructure


The Senior IT Program Manager reporting to the Sr Dir., Program Management Office relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, drives best practices through the implementation of project management methodologies, governance, and tools. The Program Manager improves the consistency, predictability, and efficiency of the teams’ project delivery capability. The Program Manager provides leadership in best practices inclusive of standardized but scalable project management disciplines to increase project success. Working with both the Sr. Dir, Program Management Office and the VP of IT, the Program Manager will help establish an agile framework and groom team behavior towards continuous improvement and delivery. This role ensures that the operational issues of the individual teams and projects, as defined by the Program Team, are managed, clearly defined and visible to executive management and are delivered on time and on budget. 

What You'll Do

  • Support: As a Servant Leader, support IT Infrastructure Teams in the curation, prioritization and delivery of projects while facilitating Agile best practices.

    • Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.

    • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.

  • Forecasting: Resource planning and allocation to ensure the right resources are focused on the right projects at the right time.

    • Create visibility of resource capacity, competency in a single resource plan

    • Ensure maximum resource utilization

  • Reusability: Support the Sr. Dir., Program Management Office in the development, rollout and iteration of the CIO-Org’s Portfolio Management Program.

  • Transparency: Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects. Acting as a trusted strategic advisor: work alongside business leaders to help determine which projects should be undertaken why and when not just how.

    • The dashboard of projects and milestones across a portfolio

    • Providing project financial reports and budget outlines to Executives.

  • Governance: Continuously providing oversight by evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

    • Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.

  • Collaboration: Ensure a collaboration and communication framework to align all teams impacted by project implementation.

Mentor: Mentor and train project managers

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 10+ years of project management experience

  • 3-5 years of program management experience required

  • 5+ years in technical software project management

  • Financial program performance tracking and outlooks

  • Resource planning for programs and projects and able to forecast needs

  • Proficiency with agile or other program management methodologies

  • Adept at building processes, project management, and release schedules

  • Expertise working on large and deeply transformative projects

  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations

  • Experience driving multifaceted, cross-functional initiatives

  • Resourceful in an ambiguous environment

  • Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
