TIBCO Analytics Forum (TAF) 2021 brought together industry-leading healthcare and pharma organizations to talk about the innovative data analytics strategies and solutions they’ve implemented to overcome their most pressing challenges.
Watch on-demand TAF webinars that feature Pfizer, Bayer, and Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti (HULA) to learn how organizations like yours have faced and solved real-world data challenges.
In a fireside chat that featured TIBCO Chief Analytics Officer Michael O’Connell and Hamid Mehdizadeh, Director of Manufacturing Intelligence at Pfizer, the two talked about how Pfizer is transforming its manufacturing processes to become more predictive and adaptive. According to Mehdizadeh, “While our scientists push the boundaries of physics, chemistry, and biology to manufacture important life-saving medicines, we are helping them by introducing digital tools that make their day-to-day jobs easier and enable data-driven decisions.”
This session kicked off with a brief tour of the data science community at Bayer Crop Science about what its Women in Data Science organization is all about. Then, Sami Cheong, Data Science Technical Lead at Bayer Crop Science, discussed a data science use case for Bayesian spatial hierarchical modeling within Bayer’s research and development pipeline. From this webinar, you can learn how a combination of trials, data challenges, visualization-based insights, and modeling technique innovations contributed to valuable insights about working with large-scale experimental data.
Sreelatha Duggeti, Data Governance and Visualization Manager at Bayer Crop Science, talked about the division’s fundamental driver, saying, “We need to ensure we’re providing for a growing population and producing food in a sustainable fashion.” Achieving this goal requires collecting and visualizing enormous volumes of data from diverse sources to drive accurate, on-time decisions—and TIBCO Spotfire® analytics has been part of the division’s robust data strategy for seven years. Use cases include tracking when and what data to collect from testing fields, checking the quality of data collected, and promoting the best seed varieties to the market.
