TIBCO Recognizes Innovative Customer Achievements in the Americas at TIBCO NOW Chicago

We are in full swing here in the second leg of the TIBCO NOW 2019 Global Tour in Chicago, Illinois. As a part of our mission to accomplish Innovation Everywhere, we paused to recognize the winners of this year’s Trailblazer Award winners in the Americas. The Trailblazer Awards recognize customers who have literally blazed the trails of digital transformation using TIBCO technology to innovate and disrupt in their industries to stay ahead of the competition.

Each year, the awards recognize visionaries, pioneers, transformers, and impactful market leaders across all industries. We are proud to announce this year’s winners: Grupo Xcaret, Hemlock Semiconductor, Ulta Beauty, and Caesars Entertainment.

Grupo Xcaret makes the planet happy, one guest at a time

Grupo Xcaret won this year’s Visionary Award for making real progress in establishing an event-enabled, customer-centric hospitality business. With the help of TIBCO’s integration and analytics suite, Grupo Xcaret executed on its bold vision to enhance its guest experiences, contributed to the company’s expansion, and help earn the company numerous accolades such as the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for best commercial and the Liseberg Applause Award for one of the most unique destinations in the world. Grupo Xcaret has been able to improve operational efficiency and customer experiences, reduce fraud, and optimize resources while providing the business with consolidated views of both the overall well-being of the company as well as its customers. As a result, the leader in sustainable and socially responsible tourist recreation has been able to generate informative reports consolidating data from different sources. This has enabled Grupo Xcaret to better carry out its mission: to make the planet happy, one guest at a time.

Hemlock Semiconductor brings light to the solar industry

Hemlock Semiconductor took home this year’s Impact Award for achieving tight control of its cost structure while simultaneously driving ever-increasing quality of the materials it supplies to the semiconductor and solar industries. In fact, the globally recognized producer of polycrystalline silicon

accelerated process optimization so much that it was able to reduce record processing by 1000x. By eliminating data silos and modernizing legacy systems with TIBCO Connected Intelligence, Hemlock was able to create a meaningful impact in its company and with its customers through faster delivery of and higher quality products. With the help of TIBCO, Hemlock Semiconductor created more self-service data and analytics while driving process automation, accelerating decision-making and intelligently viewing its operations to drive cross-company collaboration.

“When you think about smarter manufacturing, it comes from the end user; it’s about the user experience. You have to follow the data and make the improvements to create a data-driven culture,” said Keith Carey from Hemlock Semiconductor.

Ulta Beauty creates a one-stop omnichannel retail experience

This year’s Pioneer Award went to Ulta Beauty, the largest beauty retailer in the U.S., for creating a guest-centric omnichannel experience that spans both digital and physical channels.  As part of a multi-phase initiative, Ulta is utilizing TIBCO integration to build enterprise services to positively impact guest experiences and engagement by better meeting their needs. Thanks to Ulta’s digital transformation with TIBCO, the retail powerhouse successfully managed increases of net sales volumes by 9.7 percent and e-commerce comparable sales of 25 percent during their 2018 holiday season.

“Two components have allowed us to digitally transform: omnichannel strategy and guest experience, and personalization. We enable our guest to be able to interact, engage, transact with us when, how, where they want, while unlocking capabilities that are traditionally locked within IT silos,” said Vallish Shankar from Ulta Beauty.

Caesars Entertainment enhances customer experiences on a global scale

Caesars Entertainment won this year’s Transformer Award. This world-renowned entertainment group successfully implemented API-led integration to create a single catalog of APIs for integrating with applications, both on the cloud and hosted by external partners. Caesars Entertainment was able to expose its services both on the cloud and on-prem as APIs. As a result, several functions such as offers and loyalty programs are being exposed as services instead of directly integrated with source systems. This implementation has allowed the company to create robust developer onboarding and self-learning opportunities while providing faster time-to-market for new capabilities.

“You have to invest in technology in order to be relevant; digital transformation is not optional. This results in better customer experience and engagement,” said Les Ottolenghi from Caesars Entertainment.
