Exam Overview

This test will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, administer, and architect messaging solutions using TIBCO Rendezvous software and the TIBCO Rendezvous API (excluding Rendezvous Administration API) given a set of business requirements.

  • Number of exam questions: 66
  • Exam duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Percentage correct to pass the exam: 68%



Successful candidates will be able to develop and administer a TIBCO Rendezvous messaging solution of average complexity with minimal supervision or assistance. Average complexity would involve the appropriate selection and use of different qualities of service including reliable, RVCM, RVCM Queues, and RVFT given a set of business requirements. Administering includes monitoring and managing Rendezvous deamons though out the enterprise. Furthermore, the candidate will be able to design and manage complex routing daemon configuration and architectures; design and manage secure Rendezvous messaging solutions, and have a reading knowledge of basic Rendezvous API programming. Also, it is recommended the candidates have knowledge of the information contained in the Rendezvous 8 product documentation (Technical Publications). Additionally, successful candidates will have mastered the topics outlined below.


Recommended General Experience

General experience with and knowledge of system administration, basic network architecture and network protocols. Basic (reading) knowledge of Java and/or C/C++ programming languages.

Six months active experience using TIBCO Rendezvous 8.
