'Greg The Architect' Receives 2007 BtoB Magazine's Best Award

TIBCO's SOA Parody Series Selected as Best Online Campaign

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 24, 2007 - TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that its 'Greg the Architect' online video series has been honored with the BtoB Best Award for Best Online Campaign from BtoB Magazine. 'Greg the Architect', which features a besieged tech worker who is confused about how and why to implement a service-oriented architecture (SOA), was developed as part of a viral campaign to promote interest in SOANow Journal (www.soanowjournal.com), one of TIBCO's online resources for IT architects to help make sense of all the SOA clutter.

"After viewing much well-meaning, essentially hollow advertising showing us our global village photographed just so, it's refreshing to see such low-cost, imperfect creativity as the 'Greg the Architect' campaign where, at times, you can literally see the hands behind it," said BtoB magazine in its review of the campaign. "It gives the people advertising that they want, content that understands the pressures of their jobs and how to do them better. The goodwill generated by both the videos and the journal will pay off in potential customers who know ahead of time that TIBCO gets it."

The BtoB Best Awards (www.btobonline.com) celebrate creative excellence in business-to-business advertising and recognize winners in five categories: integrated campaign, TV, print, direct and interactive. Entries are judged by BtoB editors and must possess a high degree of visual magnetism; select the right audience and invite the reader into the scene; promise a reward and back it up; need to present the selling proposition in logical sequence; be easy to read; speak person to person; emphasize the service and not the source; and reflect the company's character.

The 'Greg the Architect' series is comprised of four video episodes – "SOA This. SOA That."; "ROI of the Beholder"; "Focus Pocus"; and "Off The Grid". Leveraging a creative, grass roots strategy, the innovative video series has flipped the online media advertising model on its head and has proven to be popular with more than 70,000 views. 'Greg the Architect' is now the first YouTube search result for "SOA" and can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOQcjvUHZ0k, or on TIBCO's 'Greg the Architect' web site at http://www.gregthearchitect.com/.

"Hats off to our outstanding creative team that came up with a fun, humorous satire aimed at enterprise architects that isn't overblown by software buzzwords that nobody really understands," said Ram Menon, executive vice president, Worldwide Marketing, TIBCO. "We are honored by BtoB's recognition of the originality and creativity that went into the 'Greg the Architect' project."

The BtoB Best Award marks the third award honor that 'Greg the Architect' has received this year. The first video in the series, "SOA This. SOA That.", has been recognized with a Stevie Award for Best Corporate Film or Video at the 2007 American Business Awards and with a 2007 Internet Advertising Competition Award for Best Interactive Application.
