TIBCO Announces Infrastructure Software for Mac OS X Server ‘Tiger’

Increased Protection and Flexibility for Businesses Deploying a Service–Oriented Architecture

Apple Expo 2005, Paris, France, September 21, 2005 - TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX), a leading business integration and process management software company today announced the immediate availability of its infrastructure software, including integrated enterprise backbone, business integration and business optimization software, for Apple´s Mac OS X Server version 10.4 "Tiger." Now customers in the Financial Services, Media, Government and Education sectors are able to protect their IT investments with increased flexibility and choice for deploying a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Today´s announcement is a direct response to customer demands for added support for Apple´s enterprise products. With heightened pressures mounting on businesses to reduce escalating IT operating costs, customers need to leverage existing investments in Mac OS X Tiger Server and Xserve G5 to effectively embrace SOA in a heterogeneous environment. According to a Gartner report on "The Five Hottest IT Topics and Trend in 2005," 80% of customers will be using SOA by 2008.
