T-COM Establishes Sales Portal Using TIBCO Activeportal

Sales information system integrates systems and applications

Munich, Germany, April 15, 2002 - Under the project abbreviation VerSis, Deutsche Telekom developed a sales information system for T-COM using technology from TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX). TIBCO ActivePortal™ is enabling T-Com to integrate a wide range of systems and applications through an information portal, and make it available to employees and departments to perform comprehensive informational research.

TIBCO ActivePortal aggregates and personalizes information and content from a variety of sources, such as applications and databases, then the information is provided to users via the Internet/intranet or mobile devices, such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), pagers, or cell phones. Since information is filtered through a personal information profile, each employee receives content customized to their individual needs.

"Given the wealth of available information on disparate systems, information management is no longer possible without innovative technologies," said Dieter Kirstein, project manager at T-COM. "TIBCO ActivePortal is the solid base to achieve this."
