Associated Newspapers Ltd Selects TIBCO Software for Real-time Integration Solution
Associated Newspapers IT Services Arm Powers Internal Systems with TIBCO Software
PALO ALTO, CA, February 07, 2001 - Associated Mediabase (AMB), the IT arm of Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL), today announced it has selected TIBCO Software Inc., (Nasdaq: TIBX), a leading provider of real-time e-business infrastructure software, to integrate the core internal systems for ANL. The TIBCO solution will provide real-time integration for ANL's accounting systems together with advertising sales systems, circulation support systems, production and publishing systems and data warehousing. The real-time nature of the TIBCO solution will heighten ANL customer service levels and allow for more cost effective migration to new applications as they become available.
Part of the world-renowned Daily Mail & General Trust plc, Associated Mediabase is responsible for the development and integration of Associated Newspapers' expansion into electronic information delivery. It has also created the business and production systems used to support titles such as The Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, The Evening Standard and The Metro.
